Animal rights activists protest against man-eating tigress Avni’s shoot-to-kill order

New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Animal rights activists held a protest in New Delhi against shoot-to-kill order of man-eating royal Bengal female tiger Avni. Avni or T1 has been accused of killing around 13 people in a span of 18 months. A petition seeking presidential pardon has been initiated to save Avni. “If they kill Avni they will destroy the whole family and Avni should be tranquilized rather than shot dead”, said an activist. Activists are strongly opposed to forest rangers’ order in Maharashtra’s Pandharkawada forest range.
