Annual Muay Thai Federation Cup held in Srinagar

Srinagar (J&K), Apr 24 (ANI): Annual Muay Thai Federation Cup was held in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar. It was the first time a Women’s League was also part of this event. The three-day national event was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Muay Thai Association under auspices of Muay Thai India National Federation with support from J&K state sports council. Both male and female athletes from 15 States participated in the event. Muay Thai is a combat sport originating from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This physical and mental discipline is known as ‘the art of eight limbs’ because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows knees and shins.
