New Delhi, Aug 07 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep sorrow over Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Chief Karunanidhi's demise on Tuesday. In a statement he said, "India has lost a political stalwart. Karunanidhi was a versatile genius in literature, cinema, journalism and politics. He gained a permanent place in the hearts of Tamil people with his service and administrative experience. Karunanidhi left a permanent impression as a poet, writer, artist, editor, politician and ruler. Karunanidhi's death is a huge loss not only to Tamilnadu but for entire India. He has always thought for the development and upliftment of poor and the needy. As a 5 time CM, 13 time MLA, 50 years party President; his 75 year political life is a great inspiration and guidance for one and all. He has taken ahead the Dravidian ideology that he believed in. He reflected the same in his writings, politics and rule. He followed it in his personal life. His life time will remain as " Karunanidhi era" in Tamilnadu. My hearty condolences to Karunanidhi's family members, DMK activists and Tamil people."
