Arif Alvi sworn in as Pakistan’s new President

New Delhi, Sep 09 (ANI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) senior leader Arif Alvi took oath as the 13th president of Pakistan on Sunday. Justice Saqib Nisar, Chief Justice of Pakistan, administered the oath to the 69-year-old former dentist at the President House. Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa among others attended the swearing-in ceremony. Alvi had resigned from his Karachi NA-247 constituency earlier this week, after being elected as the President on September 4.
