Army organises sports festival & free medical camp in far-flung areas of J&K

Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir), Dec 08 (ANI): The Indian Army organised a sports festival for the residents of far-flung regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Several people living in isolated villages of the Valley have been living under the poverty line. The aim of such event is to bring people to the front by organising an event to promote sports as well as sportsmanship among youth. Volleyball, kabaddi and wrestling were a few sports played during the event. Several students and youth came to witness the sports event. A cultural display of music was also a part of the festival. The Army also held a free medical camp on the sidelines of the sports event for the benefit of all visiting locals. A team of expert Army doctors provided free check-up and medicines at the camp. More than 700 locals took benefit of the medical camp and praised the Army for their efforts.
