Ayushman Bharat health scheme: PM Modi meets ASHA, Anganwadi workers

Ranchi (Jharkhand), Sep 23 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday arrived in Jharkhand’s Ranchi to inaugurate Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). He met Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) and Anganwadi workers. The Prime Minister also reviewed the exhibition on AB-PMJAY scheme. PM Modi will launch world's largest healthcare scheme AB-PMJAY from Ranchi on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. The launch programme will be attended by Health Minister JP Nadda, Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das, Governor Draupadi Murmu and other dignitaries. The Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana aims to provide health assurance to 10 crore families, who will be given up to Rs 5 lakh cover per year.
