Bhima-Koregaon case: SC extends house arrest of 5 accused

New Delhi, Sep 28 (ANI): In the ongoing Bhima-Koregaon case, the Supreme Court has extended house arrest of the five activists for four weeks. Lawyer Prashant Bhushan said, “The petition filed against the human rights activists in the case has a majority and a minority judgement. Chief Justice Khanvilkar said that there is no need for SIT and the investigation shall continue. In this case all those who have been arrested have independent right to go to court. The accused in the case will be put in house arrest for the next four weeks.” A three judge bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra and comprising of Justices A.M. Khanwilkar and D.Y. Chandrachud had reserved its judgment in the case on September 20.
