Bhopal (MP), May 28 (ANI): Senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath accused Bharatiya Janata Party of lying about reservation. “BJP has lied about reservations. Out of the total 865 District panchayat seats, OBCs got only 98 (11.2 pc). For Janpad Panchayat, out of 313 posts, they got 30 (9 pc). In Sarpanch, out of 22,424, only 2,821 were given to OBCs (12.5 pc),” said Kamal Nath on May 28. “In 1993, a law was passed stating that 25 per cent of the seats shall be reserved for other classes for the post of Zila Panchayat President. Chief Minister Shivraj claims that over 30 per cent reservation is being given when only about 10 per cent of that has been given,” he added.
