New Delhi, Aug 17 (ANI): Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was loved and respected not only by politicians but the whole film fraternity. Lamenting the loss, Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar said “It happens rarely in politics that a leader with different ideology is respected by Opposition parties. And only a real democrat can get this love. More than he was a good poet, a politician, he was a greater statesman.” Veteran actress Shabana Azmi said, “I feel myself fortunate enough that Atal ji was the prime minister when I was a member (unelected) of Rajya Sabha. My relation with him has been that of love and respect. With his demise, India has lost its tallest leader.” Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar also expressed grief and said, “The void that has come after his demise cannot be filled by anyone.” Vajpayee breathed his last at 5:05 pm on August 16 in AIIMS.
