Buddhism has been among India’s greatest spiritual tradition: President Kovind

New Delhi, Aug 24 (ANI): Indian President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the sixth International Buddhist Conclave in New Delhi on August 23. The conclave is based on the theme ‘Buddha Path - The Living Heritage’. It aims to showcase Indian Buddhist infrastructure and boost tourism, investment plans in different locations in the country. Delegates from 29 countries including US, UK, Germany, France and Russia are expected to take part in the conclave. Present at the event, the President said, “India and Japan have much in common but there are few links we share and treasure as much as our shared Buddhist heritage. Through thousands of years of human existence, India has been a strong house of history and culture, of faith and philosophy. Buddhism has been among India’s greatest spiritual tradition”.
