Budding Kashmiri cyclist shines at national level

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Jan 17 (ANI): Budding Cyclist, Waheed Ahmad of Jammu and Kashmir is creating new chronicles in cycling by winning state level and national awards. Hailing from Kanihama village of district Budgam, Waheed Ahmad started his schooling from a local school and completed his 10th class from there. During school days when Waheed saw many of his friends doing cycling, he also got interested and started learning basics of cycling. Waheed was trained under Akbar Khan, a popular cyclist in the Valley and started participating in the local events. After winning local events, Waheed participated in state tournaments and won many medals. Waheed first participated in national Cyclothon held in Karnataka and then in Indore. Recently he participated in national Cyclothon in Kerala and then Haryana were he won medal. Waheed is emerging young cycling talent of Kashmir who has already made name for himself in cycling arena of the state. During last couple of years he has given some of spectacular performances that sums up his talent. Waheed now wants to take part in international Cyclothon in future.
