CM Naidu lays foundation stone for second phase of Chintalapudi lift irrigation project

Krishna (Andhra Pradesh), Sep 07 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has laid the foundation stone for the second phase of Chintalapudi lift irrigation, being constructed at Muddulaparva village in Krishna district. The said project has been initiated as part of 'Jalasiriki Harati' programme. The project is aimed to provide water to agricultural lands in all regions. The state government has revised the estimated cost for the first and second phase to Rs 4,909.80 crore. In the first phase of project, 18 pumps will be set up on Godavari at Tadipudi village to lift river water to a height of 27 meters. The 13.22 km leading channel will take water to Guddigudem. In second phase, lift irrigation will be set up with 14 pumps to lift water to 92 meters.
