Commuters face peak time rush ahead of Chhath Puja in Bihar

Patna (Bihar), Nov 11 (ANI): People heading home ahead of the famous Chhath Puja festivities are facing numerous problems in commute. Many are stranded on railway stations and bus stands due to inadequate number of trains and buses. People are hanging from the doors of the train compartments and standing through most of the journey despite tickets. Buses were harder to get as lesser numbers were plying on popular routes. Chhath Puja, the festival dedicated to the Sun god, is celebrated on the sixth day Kartik month of Hindu calendar. Every year, the festival commences with paying oblation to the setting sun and concludes with the rising sun. This year, Chhath Puja will be celebrated from the evening of November 13 till the morning of November 14.
