Cultural diversity on display at R-Day parade

New Delhi, Jan 26 (ANI): The display of cultural tableaux was held as a part of the 72nd Republic Day parade. Leading from the front, Ladakh showcased their first-ever tableau. Tableau displayed culture and communal harmony besides art, architecture, festivals, literature and music. A replica of the Sun Temple at Modhera was also displayed on the Gujarat tableau, depicting parts of the Sun Temple including its 52 pillars. Tableau of Punjab showcased the glory of 9th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, with the theme of '400th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur'. The end of the trailer shows Gurdwara Sri Rakab Ganj Sahib, the site of cremation of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Designed after the theme 'Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh’s tableau also displayed the auspicious Ram Mandir. The forepart of the middle tableau shows Deepotsava of Ayodhya, in which millions of earthen lamps were lit.
