Dalai Lama returns to Dharamsala after Europe visit

Dharamsala (Himachal Pradesh), Sep 26 (ANI): Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama on Wednesday returned to Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamsala after his Europe visit. As per reports, during his two week visit the spiritual leader participated in various talks and conferences and gave teachings at various places. President of the Central Tibetan Administration, Dr Lobsang Sangay and other dignitaries went to the airport to receive the spiritual leader among others. The spiritual leader said that even though he is little tired, his Europe visit was very good. Meanwhile, the Students for a Free Tibet (SFT), a Tibetan NGO in-exile, organised an event to express their solidarity with the people of Hong Kong on the Umbrella Revolution Anniversary. To mark this day, the activists held a photo action where people stood in a frame with a message ‘I Stand with Hong Kong’ and took pictures. In 2014, people of Hong Kong conducted a series of sit-in protests against the Chinese government ruled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) after proposed reforms to the Hong Kong electoral system was considered to be a highly restrictive, and CCP pre-screening of candidates for the leader of Hong Kong.
