DCW rescues 39 girls from a hotel in New Delhi’s Paharganj

New Delhi, Aug 01 (ANI): Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) rescued 39 girls from a hotel in New Delhi's Paharganj late night on Tuesday. The girls are said to have been trafficked from Nepal on the pretext of providing jobs, and were being sent off to Saudi countries and even Sri Lanka, according to DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal. Earlier on Tuesday, 19 girls were rescued from Maidan Garhi in New Delhi by Varanasi Police with the help of DCW team. Last week, 16 girls were rescued from a room in Munirka in New Delhi. DCW is demanding that Union Minister Rajnath Singh urgently look into the matter.
