Delhi Assembly adjourned for day after mourning Karunanidhi's death

New Delhi, Aug 08 (ANI): Delhi Legislative Assembly on Wednesday mourned the death of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief Karunanidhi. The assembly also paid tribute to the DMK chief. Ram Niwas Goel, Speaker of the Delhi Assembly said, “He was very talented. Because of his artistic talent he was given the name of ‘Kalaignar’. He had left a mark on Tamil politics, art and culture. With his demise en era of politics ended.” Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, “With his demise the Indian politics has suffered a huge loss. He gave a remarkable contributed to Tamil cinema. He was so popular that he did not lose a single election.” Due to the demise of DMK chief Karunanidhi, the proceedings of the Assembly were suspended till August 9 at 2 pm.
