Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Dec 12 (ANI): Hawkers and shops selling woolen garments in the Kashmir are doing brisk business with temperatures dipping below zero degrees Celsius in parts of the valley. People across Srinagar city are thronging markets to buy warm clothes like jackets, coats, gloves and caps to shield themselves against the cold. The sale of woolens soars between the months of December and February – the coldest time of the year in Kashmir. A seller said an early advent of winter has prompted people to buy woolens. The meteorological department has forecast heavy snowfall in the state in the next 24 hours. Snowfall in the valley has a direct impact on temperatures in New Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
