New Delhi, Jun 26 (ANI): Environmentalist Vimlendu Jha filed a case of contempt of court against NBCC, after continued tree felling on Tuesday. Jha filed a complaint at Sarojini Nagar police station after witnessing continued tree felling by NBCC during his vigil at their project site in Netaji Nagar. Regarding his complaint, Jha said, “This morning we were on a vigil in Delhi’s Netaji Nagar as we were not very confident of NBCC following Delhi High Court’s order putting an interim ban on felling of trees. At 11 am today, we saw NBCC contractors climbing on to trees and felling of trees was on. We made a PCR call and the police took a supervisor into custody. We filed a case of contempt of court against NBCC for not following basic judgment,” he further added.
