Updated:1 month, 2 weeks ago

New Delhi, Dec 03 (ANI): European Union’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan Tomas Niklasson on December 03 said that EU have increased humanitarian assistance from 60 mn to 300 mn Euros as Afghanistan’s harsh winter starting in the country. “I think we need whatever we can to ensure humanitarian assistance reaches people. We have international staff on ground in Kabul. We’ve increased our humanitarian assistance from 60 mn to 300 mn Euros. We're distributing that via international organisations and we've experience in working on providing humanitarian assistance to Afghan people for last 2 decades. So while the scale is different, urgency is there, this isn't something new for us and we have solid experience to build on,” said Niklasson to ANI.
