Exporter arrested for looting own items to escape from debt in UP’s Sambhal

Sambhal (Uttar Pradesh), Oct 26 (ANI): An exporter of handicraft buttons and his two workers were arrested in Hayatnagar yesterday for looting buttons worth Rs 60 Lakh from his own factory in order to get rid of his debt of Rs 60 Lakh. The incident happened under a conspiracy by the owner in which he roped in his workers. Case has been filed under Section 420, 120 B, 406, 193 and 324 IPC. Case has also been registered under Arms Act. Weapons have also been seized by the police. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Additional Superintendent of Police said, “A case was registered regarding loot of buttons from the factory. After much investigation we got to know that owner of the factory had a debt of Rs 60 lakhs so he roped in his workers in a conspiracy under which they looted their own buttons so that the owner does not have to pay the debt.”
