First seaplane in India takes off in Mumbai

Mumbai (Maharashtra), Dec 9 (ANI): The demonstration of first sea plane was held in Mumbai’s Girgaum chowpatty in the presence of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Civil Aviation Minister Gajapathi Raju on Saturday. The 10 to 14 seater amphibious planes can land on both land and water. The trials have been conducted in collaboration between SpiceJet and Japanese Setouchi Holdings. The Transport Minister termed this demonstration as revolutionary and said that this plane can immensely boost tourism.
