New Delhi, May 24 (ANI): Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Thursday blamed Tamil Nadu Government for the killings during Thoothukud’s anti-Sterlite protest and compared the dreadful incident with Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He said that the Tamil Nadu Government should have made better arrangements to maintain law and order as it knew that the agitation is going to be bigger. “State government knew that this being 100th day of agitation, it's going to be bigger. They should've made better arrangements to maintain law and order but nothing was done. They simply resorted to firing. It was a massacre, almost like Jallianwala Bagh,” said Azad. On Tuesday, 11 people were killed and several were injured during protests against the construction of a new copper smelter by the Sterlite industries in Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi.
