Govt Degree College inaugurated in Rajouri’s Doongi to strengthen higher education

Rajouri (J&K), July 22 (ANI): District Development Commissioner (DDC) of Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad inaugurated Government Degree College in Doongi area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Sunday. The inauguration was held in presence of Special Secretary in the Higher Education department Rashid Azam Inqlabi. Maximum girls quit their studies after completing 10th and 12th standard and without Degree College they cannot continue their education further. Sarpanches, Panches and social workers expressed their gratitude towards the administration for sanctioning the colleges and making them functional. They also demanded extra accommodation and construction of examination hall in government schools. Degree College will act as a milestone in further strengthening the higher education in Doongi area.
