Horticulture Department starts skill development programme in J&K’s Kathua

Kathua (Jammu & Kashmir), Sep 16 (ANI): The Department of Horticulture started skill development programme under the Integrated Horticulture development at Nihalpur Fruits Nursery in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua. The programme will go on for 35 days. The skill development programme aims to provide farmers with the best of training in Horticulture development and Orchard management to double their income by 2022. On the occasion, Director Horticulture Jammu, Anuradha Gupta was present. A live demonstration of grafting of fruit plants was also given to trainees drawn from Kathua district. Anuradha Gupta said, “It’s a part of such programme to train the young farmer and Orchardist to develop their skill in the field. It is because so that they can get the latest technique in horticulture development.”
