New Delhi, Jul 31 (ANI): In a shocking case of human trafficking, 19 girls were rescued from Maidan Garhi in New Delhi on Tuesday by Varanasi Police with the help of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) team. It is reported that the girls are from Nepal and West Bengal. DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal said, “We are taking these girls to shelter home and we are also talking to the Nepal Embassy to not only take them back to Nepal but also provide them jobs.” Maliwal added, “It is embarrassing that such big trafficking rackets are going on in Delhi and Delhi Police is not noticing it. I have informed Home Minister Rajnath Singh earlier too to take strict action against it, but why no action is being taken?” Last week, 16 girls were rescued from a room in Munirka in New Delhi.
