Indian Army will never attempt a coup: PM Modi

Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Feb 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the Indian Army would never attempt a coup. He was referring to a Congress Minister’s allegations that the Army under the then chief V. K. Singh had planned such a move in 2012. “A few days ago, the nation saw with utter disgust a story of how a top UPA Minister kept pushing a narrative that our army will do a coup. Every Indian knows that our army can do no such thing but look at Congress' attitude,” PM Modi said at a public rally in Tamil Nadu’s Tirupur. PM Modi also boasted his government’s fulfillment of long-pending demand of One Rank One Pension scheme.
