IPL betting case: 6 accused held, Arbaaz Khan assures cooperation

Thane (Maharashtra), Jun 02 (ANI): In the ongoing IPL betting case six accused have been arrested after the police said that new names came up during investigations. Actor and director Arbaaz Khan's statement has been recorded after his name came up during the interrogation of alleged bookie Sonu Jalan. Abhishek Trimukhe, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) of Thane, said, "Six accused have been arrested in cricket betting racket. Arbaaz Khan's name came up in the case during interrogation of Sonu Jalan. Arbaaz's statement has been recorded. Some new names have cropped up, action will be taken against them. The police are further investigating the case where new names have come up. The forensic investigation of electronic equipments which have also been found in the case is going on. " After Arbaaz Khan was summoned by the police, he said, "My statement has been recorded. Police asked whatever they needed in this investigation and I answered them. I will continue to cooperate with them."
