New Delhi, Jul 21 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rejoiced on Friday as the ruling party won the No-Confidence Motion defeating its prime opposition, the Congress Party. The BJP said that the No-Confidence Motion went against them. Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani said, “Defeat of Congress and opposition is a precursor to their defeat in 2019 elections. It also gives public at large a sense of how scattered opposition is and has given citizens a look into what kind of strategy Congress is willing to embrace that there is instability in the country.” Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “PM talked about the development of our country with full confidence. Our numbers rose because the confidence of the people has increased.” Jitendra Singh, Minister for State, PMO said, “I think the confidence was misplaced right from the beginning. There was also a message that the opposition, mainly the Congress party sought to bring in the No-Confidence Motion against the government which actually turned out to be a No-Confidence Motion amongst themselves.”
