Jitendra Singh visits border migrant camp in J&K’s Kathua

Kathua (Jammu & Kashmir), May 26 (ANI): Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region Jitendra Singh visited the border migrants camp in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district on Saturday and listened to the grievances of the locals regarding regular firing from Pakistan side. Many villages on the border side are adversely affected from firing from the other side of the border. The locals are facing huge losses like damage to property and even lives due to heavy shelling. The locals raised the issue of provision of dwellings at safer places and proper bunkers on Zero Line to secure them from firing. Jitendra Singh also gave the locals assurances for providing adequate land for safer living. He also said that construction of concrete bunkers was also taken up by the concerned agency. Meanwhile he has also assured all help to the border migrants while assuring construction of community bunkers alongside the border.
