J&K: Awareness, promotional workshop under PMFME Scheme held in Anantnag

Anantnag (J&K) Nov 29 (ANI): Department of Fisheries, under the Chairmanship of District Nodal Officer on November 28 held a day-long awareness and promotional workshop on setting up Micro Food Processing Enterprises under the centrally-sponsored scheme “PM-Formalization of Micro Food Processing Entrepreneur (PMFME) Scheme” at Block Shangus in Anantnag. The Awareness programme was also attended by Area Marketing Officer, Anantnag and his subordinate staff, the Officers/Officials of other line departments and a huge gathering of Shopkeepers and locals. At the outset, the District Nodal Officer of PMFME, One District One Product (ODOP) scheme welcomed the participants and presented the overall scenario. He urged the youth to set up their individual Micro Enterprises, and avail the benefit of credit-linked subsidy available under the scheme. He requested the participants to get registered in the application submission process or visit the PMFME Home Page. The Block Development Officer Shangus also participated in the event and shared his views and experience to the participating youth. The participants lauded this step taken by J&K administration and requested for more such camps to create general awareness, so that youth can start their own enterprise.
