New Delhi, Dec 28 (ANI): A discussion was held in Lok Sabha over President’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir. While reacting to it, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said, “We were very concerned that the resolution approving the decision of government to dissolve the assembly and continue the President’s rule was passed without any discussion. So we insisted upon the discussion. If the governor has to establish the majority on the floor house first, before deciding whether it is impossible to continue with an elected government. Has the Governor given any explanation in writing as required by the SC to why he did not have a floor test? That question was never answered by the Home Minister”. Meanwhile, Union Minister of State in Prime Minister Office Jitender Singh said, “Home Minister has read the letter written by the Governor (of J&K). The governor had clearly written that he talked to BJP leaders, and they said that they are coming out of the alliance with PDP. He talked to Congress state president and he said he does not have majority”.
