Jodhpur emerges as country’s cleanest railway station

Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Aug 14 (ANI): Rajasthan’s two stations have emerged as the cleanest railway stations in the third cleanliness survey. Jodhpur has emerged as the cleanest station in ‘A1’ category. This time Jodhpur beat Visakhapatnam which was at the first spot. However, Rajasthan’s Jaipur station is at number two and Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati was placed at number three. In ‘A’ category stations, Rajasthan’s Marwar is on top, followed by Phulera at number two and Telangana’s Warangal at number three. The railways had conducted a third-party survey for assessment of cleanliness as part of sanitation drive. Survey was conducted by the Quality Council of India (QCI) on over 400 India’s major railway stations. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) conducted the first survey in 2016 and the second survey was conducted by Quality Council of India (QCI).
