Karnataka floods: Siddaramaiah visits relief camp in Kodagu

Kodagu (Karnataka), Aug 23 (ANI): Karnataka former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday visited a relief camp in Karnataka’s Kodagu. He interacted with the people and took cognizance of their health. Heavy and incessant rains in Kodagu triggered floods and landslides in the district. It has left several houses waterlogged and people have been affected in the region. Kodagu region in Coorg district has been affected the worst due to continuous rainfall. On August 21, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy urged the Centre to provide Rs 100 crore relief fund for rain-ravaged state's Kodagu district. Earlier, Kumaraswamy announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh for the families which were rendered homeless.
