Bengaluru, July 23 (ANI): The Congress-JD(S) government failed the floor test in Karnataka Assembly where the ruling coalition got only 99 votes against 105 of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 224-member house. The floor test was conducted by Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar after almost a week of continuous delay and intervention by Supreme Court which, in an order today, felt optimistic of the floor test taking place. While addressing the media, BJP leader Jagadish Shettar said, “Their (rebel MLAs) resignations have not yet been accepted by the Speaker, after acceptance of resignations they have to decide whether to join BJP or not. In present scenario, we have 105 MLAs, it is a majority for BJP and we will form a stable government.”
