Dharwad (Karnataka), Dec 05 (ANI): Villagers of Morab village in Dharwad district of Karnataka refused to drink water from a lake after an HIV-positive woman committed suicide by jumping in the lake. The body of the woman was found in the lake on November 29. Word immediately spread that the water has been contaminated, creating panic among villagers. Authorities are now draining the 36-acre lake and plan to refill it with water from the Malaprabha Canal.
