Srinagar (J&K), Sep 20 (ANI): The production of apples in northern Kashmir region has seen an ample rise as compared to previous years and is ready to hit the markets as growers expect good returns. The deputy director of Kashmir’s horticulture department, Mohammad Yousuf Dar, said that this year the production was comparatively good despite stress situations in the region. To avoid the stress conditions, the department organised time to time awareness camps for the apple growers. Jammu and Kashmir is one of the most popular states of the country that produces some of the best quality of apples. The large varieties of apples are mostly grown in Shopian, Baramulla, Anantnag, and Ganderbal district of the state.
