Kerala floods: 35 people rescued from landslide hit Nelliyampathy

Nelliyampathy (Kerala), Aug 19 (ANI): 35 people were rescued from landslide hit Nelliyampathy hill station in the southern state of Kerala. The people have been sheltered at a government school in Nemmara. The devastating floods in the state have claimed over 324 lives in Kerala. Several states have provided assistance to Kerala in this time of catastrophe. Rescue teams and security personnel are conducting rescue operations round the clock. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier announced relief package of Rs 500 Crore for the state.
