Kerala floods: RAF team recovers a body from Nemmara area in Palakkad

Palakkad (Kerala), Aug 19 (ANI): The Rapid Action Force (RAF) team has recovered a body from Nemmara area in Kerala’s Palakkad on Sunday morning. According to the police nine bodies had been recovered earlier and this was the 10th one. Many people have been affected and houses damaged due to the ongoing landslides in the region. A police official said, “We have recovered 10 bodies. We had already searched for nine bodies and this one is 10th. Three houses have been damaged and around 20 people have been affected in this mishap. In around 80 places landslides have taken place in which around 600-800 trees have fallen. Police, RAF teams among others are in operation. ” Madhu, Deputy Commandant of RAF, Coimbatore unit said, “We have recovered total 10 bodies from the area. Landslides are still occurring in the area, it was a tough task to recover the bodies”.
