Lakhs of devotees throng Wadala’s Vitthal Temple for ‘Ashadhi Ekadashi’

Mumbai, Jul 23 (ANI): Devotees in large numbers thronged Wadala’s Vitthal Temple in Mumbai to perform puja on Monday. Devotees sang bhajans in praise of lord Vitthal on the holy day of Ashadhi Ekadashi. People march on foot from various locations in Maharashtra to the temple. Ashadhi Ekadashi is the 11th lunar day of the Hindu month of Ashada which falls in June or July. Images and idols of lord Vishnu and goddess Lakshmi are worshipped on this day followed by an entire night of offering prayers in the form of songs.
