Mamata Banerjee rubbishes Amit Shah’s chopper controversy, calls it misleading

Updated:4 weeks ago IST

Kolkata, Jan 21 (ANI): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is misleading with wrong information as the permission was given to land BJP president Amit Shah’s chopper but at a different place. “Permission was given but there are security issues. Police had said chopper (Amit Shah's) should land at some other place; I also changed my chopper's landing on request of police. We granted permission for meeting as we believe in democracy. They (BJP) are distorting info and misleading people.” Amit Shah is scheduled to address a public rally in Malda district of West Bengal on January 22.
