MEA confirms meeting between EAMs of India, Pakistan on sidelines of UNGA

New Delhi, Sep 20 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on Thursday threw light on Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s letter to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. He said that the letter from Pakistan PM Khan was a reply to PM Modi’s letter written to him on his swearing in ceremony. Kumar added that the request from Pakistani side in regards to meeting of EAM Swaraj and Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is confirmed from Indian side and will be take place in the side lines of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in United States. “I can confirm that on the request of the Pakistani side, a meeting between EAM and Pakistani foreign minister will take place on the sidelines of #UNGA at a mutually convenient date and time,” added Kumar.
