Medical Conclave by Chinar Corps held in Srinagar

Srinagar (J&K), Aug 05 (ANI): A day-long Medical conclave was held in Srinagar with the agenda ‘Health for All’ on Saturday. The conclave was held at the Badami Bagh Cantonment Headquarters of the Chinar Corps. The conclave was conceptualised by Brigadier SK Jha of Chinar Corps. The event was attended by Dr Farooq Ahmad Jan, Med Superintendent, SKIMS, Dr Rafi Arshad, Principal and Secretary, RIHFW, and specialist doctors from the Army and various government and private hospitals. They exchanged ideas to provide best possible quality health care facility to the locals, including those living in remote areas of the Valley. The conclave was in line with the guiding principles of the upcoming World Health Day theme, ‘Universal Health Coverage: Every One Every Where’. Stressing on standard and efficient health care for all. The motive of Army’s participation was that they have always offered services to the locals through its various units in the form of Medical Camps. They wish to further their endeavour to ensure that the common man is not deprived of medicare under any circumstance. A basic strategy was discussed to coordinate reactions to disaster and needs created by conflict based on co-existence: Operating in same area with limited interaction and defined spaces, co-operation: Common goal and agreed strategy, and collaboration: Sharing of resources.
