Mumbai BEST goes green, introduces electric buses in its fleet

Mumbai, Nov 11 (ANI): In a bid to go green, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), Mumbai bus service, have introduced emission-free electric busses. Four electric busses have been added to city's bus service and will run on seven routes in South Mumbai. This move is intended to reduce the cost and provide environment-friendly solution to the congested city. Each of the electric bus requires three hours of charge to run 200 km, and charging points have only been set at Backbay Depot at present. Shiv Sena youth leader Aaditya Thackeray inaugurated four of these six buses at the Wadala bus depot on Friday.
