New Delhi, Aug 04 (ANI): Union Minister for Oil and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan attended a conference on ‘Assessing India’s connectivity with its Neighbourhood’ in New Delhi. In his inaugural address at the conference, Union Minister spoke about the need for cooperation in trade and energy sector to create the world’s largest integrated energy market. He stressed on the fact that South Asia was facing an imbalance in energy demand and its supply leading to increased import dependency. Speaking on the matter, he said, “No Asian country is going to be able to meet its energy needs entirely by using its own domestic resource. Therefore greater cooperation within the region will be the most effective way to deal with regional energy deficit and ensure energy security of the region.”
