NIA Court sends ISIS suspect Abdullah Basit to 11 day remand

New Delhi, Aug 13 (ANI): Alleged chief Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) recruiter in the Indian subcontinent, Abdullah Basit, was produced before the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Monday. NIA had found that Abdullah Basit, a resident of Hyderabad, was in touch with ISIS handlers across the world and was also involved in radicalising youth. Further investigation by NIA had revealed that Abdullah Basit, who was connected with accused Adnan Hassan and some of his associates were in regular touch with each other and conspiring to further the activities of ISIS. NIA had sent 11 days remand to alleged ISIS recruiter Abdullah Basit and other accused in NIA special court. NIA took Abdullah Basit and Abdul Qhadeer into custody from Hyderabad. NIA sought 15 days remand for them.
