Nipah virus: 'All precautions are being done, Centre is keeping close watch, says Ashwini Kumar Choubey

New Delhi, May 24 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey on Thursday said that all precautions are being taken and people should not panic regarding the Nipah virus. He also informed that Centre government is keeping a close watch on the situation and team of doctors is present at the spot. He also informed the virus is localised and it is not an epidemic. Nipah is a rare virus spread by fruit bats, which can cause flu-like symptoms and brain damage. The virus is spreading its legs from Kerala to Karnataka.
