Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Jan 06 (ANI): Normal life has come to a standstill after cold wave tightened its grip on the hill state of Himachal Pradesh. Water started to freeze in Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla district. Minimum temperature forecast in Shimla is 1.7°C and maximum temperature is 8.6°C, as recorded on January 06. Snowfall from last four to five days led to a major dip in temperature. Locals are facing problems due to lack of useable water as water in the pipelines have already frozen. People light bonfire to keep themselves warm in this extreme cold.
