Oak Grove School: A heritage school by Indian Railways

Built in 1988, Oak Grove School is a unique heritage school started by East India Railway Company.Located in Jharipani near Mussoorie in Dehradun district at an elevation of 5,300 feet, Oak Grove School is flanked by dense forests and majestic hills of the valley.Oak Grove School provides concession to the kids of railway employees. The annual tuition and boarding fee for these kids is almost half as compare to normal students. The school has three wings for girls, boys and junior classes located on separate hills. Each wing is headed by an officer of the Indian Railways Personnel Service. Indian Railways provides separate dormitories for boys & girls, a hospital and trained staffs in the school campus. Besides studies, school put great emphasis on physical development while providing numerous sports facilities such as badminton, cricket, hockey and basketball at the disposal of the students and ample opportunities to display their talents in arts, painting and music as well.
