Opposition parties observe Bharat Bandh against fuel price hike

Mumbai/Hyderabad/ Lucknow (UP)/Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala)/ Guwahati (Assam), Sep 10 (ANI): Congress party workers along with other opposition parties are observing a nationwide Bharat Bandh on Monday. The Bandh is against the recent hike in fuel and gas prices. Shops were shut on Monday morning in main cities like Mumbai, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati. Congress and CPI workers held a protest in Hyderabad, but were soon detained by the police. Congress is supported by several opposition and regional parties for the Bandh today. Left Front parties have also extended support for the Bandh. Meanwhile, the fuel price has once again spiked by 0.23paisa/litre on diesel and 0.22 paisa/litre on Petrol in Delhi on Monday. Petrol is now at Rs 80.73/litre in Delhi and 88.12/litre in Mumbai. Diesel is at Rs 72.83/litre in Delhi and Rs 77.32/litre in Mumbai.
